Are you called to become a Foster Grandparent? |
| | If you’re at least 55 and want to share your experience and compassion, you have what it takes to be a Foster Grandparent. Help children learn to read, provide one-on-one tutoring, and guide children at a critical time in their lives. Positions offered at head start centers, schools, homeless shelters and other youth facilities in East Baton Rouge and Pointe Coupee Parishes. Some volunteers may qualify to earn a tax-free, hourly stipend. You’ll receive pre-service orientation, training , and supplemental accident and liability insurance while on duty. | The Benefits of Foster Grandparents? - Studies show that children have higher attendance rates, better grades and improved self-image when Foster Grandparents are involved in their lives.
