Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge Food Program Not Affected by Recent LDH Contract

Baton Rouge, LA – News broke earlier this week that Feeding Louisiana will begin administering the senior food program, and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO) decided to discontinue their partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge (CCDBR) wants clients and the community to rest assured that their Faith-Full Mobile Food Pantry is still operating and is not affected by this partnership change between LDH and Feeding Louisiana.

The Faith-Full Mobile Food Pantry started in late 2022 and has grown exponentially over the past 2 years. In partnership with Feeding America and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, CCDBR’s Faith-Full Mobile Food Pantry serves the food insecure with food boxes.

“The Faith-Full Mobile Food Pantry is still fully operational, and we are continuing to serve community members in need,” said David Aguillard, executive director of CCDBR. “With 1 in 7 people struggling with food insecurity, programs like ours are much-needed. We are always looking for volunteers and donors to help with this program, as we continue to serve more people.”
